Group Therapy
Group therapy is one of the most-researched and most-underused forms of mental health care. Decades of evidence show it as effective as individual therapy for many conditions — and for some experiences, more so. There are things that only happen in a room of people who understand without needing the long backstory.
Our groups are small (typically 6–10 members), led by a licensed clinician, and structured around a clear focus: anxiety, social anxiety, trauma, women's process, men's process, life transitions. Members are screened in advance so the room is right for everyone in it.
What a session looks like
Most groups meet weekly for 75–90 minutes, with a defined arc — sometimes a closed cohort over 12–16 weeks, sometimes an open-ended group with rolling membership. Confidentiality is the foundation; we go over the agreements carefully before anyone starts.
You don't have to talk in week one. Or week two. People share at their own pace. The clinician keeps the room held — what gets said, what gets explored, what stays private — so the group stays a contained, useful place.
